Formed in May 2011, WTFunk pays homage to funk, R&B and Soul as an 8-piece dance machine that pumps out classics and soon-to-be classics from the world’s most well known and celebrated artists. The sounds of Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Tower of Power, Adele, Bruno Mars and Ce-Lo Green among many others are represented by powerhouse vocals, a funky rhythm core and a three-piece horn section. Starting as a house band on the club scene, WTFunk quickly rose to notoriety playing weddings, corporate parties, fundraisers and cultural events all over New Brunswick. What is the secret to the band’s early success? Dynamic, energetic, great music that gets people to the dance floor and keeps them there with an ever evolving repertoire.
